THEMATIC

Vigan City felt extra alive during the celebration of the Conversion of St. Paul. The whole place had that festive energy that’s hard to miss. Calle Crisologo, with its cobblestone streets and heritage houses, looked even more beautiful as locals and visitors gathered to celebrate. You could really feel how important this fiesta is to the city, not just as a religious event but as a moment where culture, history, and community all come together.

Even though I wasn’t able to watch the actual street dancing during the day, I did get to see the showdown that night, and it was absolutely worth it. The performances were powerful, colorful, and full of passion. Every group gave their best, and the cheers from the crowd made the experience even more exciting. It was a proud moment when ISNHS was announced as the champion, and the energy in the area instantly went up. You could tell how much effort and dedication went into their performance.

The night didn’t end there. One of the highlights for me was watching the concert of Parokya ni Edgar. Seeing them perform live was such a fun experience, especially with the crowd singing along to their songs. It felt relaxed and joyful, like everyone was just there to enjoy the moment together. It was the perfect way to wind down after an intense and exciting showdown.

To end the celebration, the sky lit up with a beautiful fireworks display. Watching the fireworks against the night sky of Vigan felt like It was one of those moments where you just pause, look around, and feel grateful to be part of something special. The Vigan City fiesta truly showed how tradition and modern celebration can blend into an unforgettable experience.
